EBM
Introduced in 1991, the EBM was the bass counterpart to the Epiphone EM-Series guitars as well as a six-sting bass version with a neck-tru design, active jazz pickups and solid ash body, called the Expert-6. The EBM-Series consists of 5 solid-body basses featuring their patented "Swept C" cutout design and recessed neck pocket for greater upper-fret access. The Gibson counterpart to the EM-Series was the Mark-II, III & IV. Gibson did not produced a Mark-Bass version of the EBM. In 2008, the EM-Series was reissued in the Prophecy line of guitars along side the Les Paul, SG and Futura, as well as an EM-1 introductory guitar. These reissues did not include an updated version of the EBM. |
